PLC Digital Journey

Proposed learning layer

7 levels. One crew passport.

Each crew unlocks a level by submitting a small piece of evidence — a photo, a 30-second clip, three sentences. Points are for fun and momentum; teachers review the evidence.

  1. 01

    Level 1

    Touchdown

    First-impressions photo + 3 questions about Isan

  2. 02

    Level 2

    City Hunter

Find 5 things Khon Kaen does that Phuket doesn't

  3. 03

    Level 3

    Craft Creator

Make one craft piece · explain the material in English

  4. 04

    Level 4

    Night Market Crew

Fixed budget · 3 vendors interviewed · one 30-sec story

  5. 05

    Dino Explorer

One fossil fact + why Isan was once a different world

  6. 06

    Level 6

    Adventure & Nature WOW

Complete your crew station safely, record one observation from the water or landscape, then bat emergence

  7. 07

    Level 7

    Bring It Home

One idea Khon Kaen taught us that Phuket could use

Digital passport, mission progress and evidence upload follow existing PLC learning-journey patterns. Final scope agreed with the school; certificates are issued only after actual participation and teacher verification.

Safety & Operations

Designed to run well without anyone improvising.

Three teachers supervise the school group with one Silver Hawk staff member travelling from Phuket and one local guide / operations support. The lead staff and guide run the agreed run sheet.

  • 45–50 seat single-deck air-conditioned coach
  • Two drivers where required by the operating plan and DLT compliance
  • Prefer DLT / Q-Bus / GPS-compliant vehicle with valid commercial permits and insurance
  • 31 students in 4 fixed crews; teacher/guide supervision is allocated across all 4 crews according to the final rooming and activity plan
  • Operating team: 1 Silver Hawk staff from Phuket + 1 local guide / operations support; they are not counted as school participants
  • The founder is not travelling; the lead staff and guide operate from the agreed run sheet
  • Headcount before departure and immediately after boarding at every stop
  • Fixed meeting point and clear zone for free time and markets — students do not scatter independently
  • Emergency contacts, allergy/dietary list and rooming list locked before departure
  • Weather and delay Plan B built into every day
  • Blue Lagoon is a scenic / photo stop only until site safety and permissions are confirmed — no swimming promise
  • Day 4 airport buffer is never sacrificed

Adventure safeguards — ATV & kayak

  • ATV: the final operator must confirm minimum driver age / height rules, helmets, pre-ride briefing, instructors and lead riders, equipment capacity and commercial activity insurance before school confirmation
  • Kayak: calm-water venue only for this proposal · correctly sized PFD / life jacket for every participant · no unsupervised paddling · defined group zones · operator rescue and support plan confirmed in advance
  • Students who cannot or do not wish to drive an ATV get a safe alternate role or activity and are never pressured to take part
  • Rotation numbers follow confirmed supplier equipment capacity — no long queues, no overcrowding
  • Weather can cancel or shorten the adventure block without affecting the Bat Cave safe return plan

Plan B

Day 1 flight or road delay

Simple set dinner or boxed meal → straight to the hotel and rest

Day 3 rain

Shorten lagoon photo stop → cafe / covered activity

Adventure supplier or weather issue on Day 3

Replace with a covered creative / team challenge + scenic route — never improvise a higher-risk substitute

Bat emergence timing changes

Keep the safe return plan — never compromise driver rest or the Day 4 flight buffer

Coach specification, permits, insurance and rooming are confirmed with suppliers before contracting; the school receives copies.
