Record a species on iNaturalist
Take a photo or record a sound, add the date and place. The user community helps identify the species. If you have joined the project, observations inside Phuket appear in it automatically.

Open the project page to browse everyone's observations in Phuket — species, places, and dates. iNaturalist remains the source of record.
iNaturalist stores the original observation. PLC links only to public project information and does not copy private coordinates. Qualifying member observations appear in the Collection Project according to its project rules on iNaturalist.
How it works
- Each person normally uses their own iNaturalist account.
- Observations stay on iNaturalist. PLC does not copy them, does not pull private coordinates, and does not copy original images.
- PLC reads only public metadata for place-based participation and analysis.
- For organised group events like Community Day, follow the facilitator's instructions — a designated uploader may be used.
Already recorded an observation and want a PLC receipt?
This is not required for normal participation once the Collection Project is active. If you want a receipt for a specific observation, paste the iNaturalist link on this page.

You noticed a coastal water condition
Phuket Water Watch is a pilot for repeat-location coastal water observation. It accepts both ordinary conditions and noticeable changes so repeat observations can build a baseline. The structured form is in development.

Submit a photo and details through Report & Connect. The team reviews cases manually and contacts relevant organisations where possible. This is not an official emergency channel.

- Personal or school dashboards
- Real-time field signal streams
- A PLC species database separate from iNaturalist

Safety and ethics
- Do not disturb wildlife or approach nests.
- Do not share exact locations of endangered species publicly.
- Ask before photographing people or entering private land.
- Do not touch suspect water, waste or animals.
- PLC is not an emergency service. For urgent cases call 191 or 1669.
