How to read PLC evidence
Each kind of information carries its own label and is never presented as if it were another kind.
- Official source
- A direct or linked record from the source owner. Showing it is not an endorsement by or of PLC.
- PLC calculation
- A transparent calculation PLC made from a cited source. The method is shown.
- PLC field evidence
- Observations or data collected through a PLC method, with scope, date and method shown.
- Community signal
- Submitted by people and not verified. A signal, not a fact.
- PLC interpretation
- A question or synthesis by PLC. Not a source fact.
Sources & open data
Every external data item should show the source owner, original link, period/date, access or retrieval status, licence where known, and any material transformation.
PLC does not own public records, and showing them does not imply government endorsement. When we use open government data we credit the source and do not change source definitions in a misleading way.
Rights & corrections
You can make a personal data request, a factual correction, a copyright/media removal request, or a request to respond to a materially adverse factual statement about you.
Every request is reviewed. Some records may need to be kept where the law or evidence integrity requires, so we cannot promise deletion in every case.

Photos or text being online does not make them free to reuse. PLC uses media only when rights, permission or a licence is known and recorded, and gives credit where required. Media with unclear rights is not shown publicly.
Sensitive nature & community knowledge
Exact locations of sensitive species and community-sensitive knowledge are restricted by default. Public pages show an approximate area, and may withhold a location entirely where protection requires it.
AI
AI may help draft, translate, classify or summarise. It is not evidence or an official source. Source-backed claims stay human-verifiable. We do not send protected client, community or personal data to external AI services merely for convenience.
Commercial firewall
Payment cannot buy favourable evidence, ranking, certification, suppression of corrections, or Phuket BiodiverCity editorial coverage. Where paid work relates to a page, we disclose the relationship.
Scope boundary
PLC is not a government body or emergency service, and does not provide legal, investment, regulatory, EIA, planning or engineering advice or certification. In an emergency call 191 or the responsible service.
This framework supports responsible operation; it is not a substitute for case-specific legal advice.
