Community Principles

This platform is a shared space

Phuket Local Connect works best when everyone contributes with honesty, respect, and care for the island.

Phuket Local Connect is a founder-funded, public-interest participation and learning platform operated by Regenera (Thailand) Co., Ltd. It is currently a working public beta. This page explains how we look after this shared space so everyone — especially children and young participants — feels safe and respected.

Community first

Content here comes from local people, community leaders, and those who know Phuket best. We are not a platform where a distant company calls all the shots.

What we welcome

We love local stories, hidden places, nature observations, respectful questions, and knowledge that helps visitors understand Phuket more deeply.

What we don't allow

We do not publish false information, hate speech, exploitation of people or nature, greenwashing, or commercial spam.

How moderation works

Our team reviews submissions against clear principles. If we don't publish something, we will explain why. We do not censor different opinions, but we protect community safety.

Ownership and attribution

You keep ownership of the content you submit. We credit you and your community. If you want to update or remove something, we will act as quickly as we can.

If you see something wrong

Email us at andamansmile@gmail.com with a link and a short note. We review every report and use it to improve our guidelines. No one is penalised for reporting something in good faith.

Safeguarding children and young participants

  • Children participate under the supervision of a guardian, teacher or designated coordinator.
  • Consent for participation, photos, public storytelling and future contact is always kept separate.
  • We do not publish a minor's full name, class, school, or contact details. No public leaderboards for minors.
  • Guardians or schools can request photo removal, correction or deletion at any time.
  • PLC supports participation and evidence — it does not replace the safeguarding responsibilities of schools, guardians or authorities.

We are learning together

This platform is in pilot. Our principles will evolve with community needs. If you have feedback, we want to hear it.
