Phuket Local Connect is an independent working public beta. This page explains who operates it, how it works, what its limitations are, and how organisations interested in piloting can get in touch.
Who operates PLC
PLC is a founder-led pilot operated by Regenera (Thailand) Co., Ltd. There is not yet a dedicated full-time platform team. We collaborate with communities, schools, researchers, businesses and public organisations through pilot and activity-specific arrangements, while remaining an independent initiative.
We are a working public beta
PLC is a working public beta. We test, learn and adjust based on user feedback. Several modules remain under development. Reports and observations are manually reviewed by the team during this phase.
How places are selected
Most places come from community suggestions, local knowledge, and cultural or natural value. We verify information before publishing, and do not accept payment to rank or feature any place.
What membership does and does not buy
Fees cover tools, setup and support during the pilot. Membership does not buy verification, higher public ranking, sustainability certification, or favourable editorial coverage.
How partnerships work
We look for partners who share our values, are willing to learn together, and benefit the place. Partnership is not pay-to-play access to public content.
How the organisations relate
PLC is a distinct public-benefit participation and evidence platform operated by Regenera Thailand. Phuket BiodiverCity is an editorially independent civic-media and listening initiative. Silver Hawk may appear in historical project credits but is not the required or default commercial operator for PLC or Regenera work.
Funding and conflict-of-interest disclosure
Material funding or support should be disclosed at the project or page level where relevant. Paid work cannot buy evidence status, ranking, verification, coverage or correction outcomes.
Public Interest Charter
Protect people, rights, sources and credibility before growth. Civic functions stay free; civic records stay separate from commercial enquiries; limitations and uncertainty stay visible; activity is never presented as a measured outcome.
Corrections and challenges
Request a factual correction, add evidence, use a right of response, or make a privacy/rights request through the Rights & Corrections page. There is no paid fast track, and we do not promise response deadlines that have not been reviewed.
How AI may be used
AI may assist with translation, categorisation, source summaries and risk flags. People decide public evidence status. AI is never evidence or an official source, and sensitive data is not sent to third-party AI merely for convenience. This is a policy; it does not mean each of these AI uses is live.
External review model (planned)
An External Review Pool is a planned model that can be used per project when funded. There is no standing review board today.
Annual transparency note
We commit to publishing an annual note summarising material corrections, relevant funding/relationship disclosures and known limitations. The first note has not been published yet.
What PLC is not
PLC is not a government agency, an emergency service, an official complaint authority or a certification body. Its public-interest layer is not a pay-to-rank tourism marketplace; Visit Phuket Differently is a separate section for paid experience requests. PLC cannot guarantee the actions of other organisations.
Limitations we acknowledge
Citizen Science data coverage is incomplete. Several modules remain under development. There is not yet a formal community-governance structure. When one is established, we will publish the details on this page.
Organisation money and the public-trust firewall
Paying Regenera Thailand does not buy Phuket BiodiverCity coverage, PLC verification, ranking, endorsement, certification or guaranteed positive sustainability claims. Payment does not change an evidence status, and personal data is not sold.
Individuals and communities can continue to participate free where participation is currently free. Organisations may pay Regenera Thailand for programme design, facilitation, data and evidence handling, reporting or project support.
