Living Tourism Lab

Phuket Living Tourism Lab

Testing how tourism can create better places to live, learn and visit.

This is where Phuket Local Connect documents and tests real-world models connecting tourism, local value, learning, biodiversity and place-based data. We share what works and what does not.

Pilots in the real world

What we have actually run

We only show what is recorded in the platform. Where evidence does not exist yet, we say “in progress”.

Phang Nga Living Classroom 2026

Phang Nga · 29–30 August 2026

Completed · outcomes published

Challenge
Teachers want to take learning outdoors, but lack journeys that link to the curriculum and can be reused.
What we tested
A two-day journey following the water, with field tasks and a reflection recorded at each stop.
What happened
Participants recorded results at each stop and completed a post-trip evaluation. Outcomes are published publicly where consent was given.
What we learned
