Phuket Local Connect is a founder-funded, public-interest participation and learning platform operated by Regenera (Thailand) Co., Ltd. It is currently a working public beta. This page explains how we handle your data, with additional care for children and young participants.
What we collect
We keep only what is necessary: your chosen language, your email address if you create an account or submit something, any content you choose to share, and basic usage patterns that help us improve the platform.
How we use it
We use it to show content in your language, process your submissions, keep the platform safe, and understand what helps people engage more meaningfully with Phuket.
What we never do
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, use it to manipulate your choices, or build hidden profiles to share with outside parties.
Cookies and analytics
We use simple analytics to see which pages are helpful. We do not track you for advertising or use third-party cookies to make money.
Your rights under PDPA
You have the right to access, correct, delete, and withdraw consent for your data. If you want us to delete or update your information, just email us.
How long we keep data
We keep data only as long as needed. If you ask us to remove your account or content, we will act quickly, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Children and Young Participants
When children take part in PLC activities, we apply data-minimisation and additional safeguarding.
- One guardian, teacher or coordinator email can register multiple participants for the same event.
- Participant records are kept separate from the account or contact email.
- We collect age band rather than full birth date. School name is collected only when needed.
- Consent is split into separate choices: participation and data processing, photo/video use, public storytelling, and future contact — never combined in one checkbox.
- Consent controls are never pre-checked.
- We do not publish a minor's full name, class, school, contact details, precise home location, sensitive species locations, medical or emergency information. No public leaderboards for minors.
- Every consent is recorded with version, date and time, purpose, participant relationship, withdrawal status, and responsible organisation.
- Guardians or schools can request consent withdrawal, correction, export, deletion or photo removal at any time.
- Withdrawing photo consent does not automatically cancel participation.
- Age thresholds and consent requirements are configurable and will be set following legal and PDPA review — not hard-coded.

Phuket Local Connect is developing and learning alongside the community. If we make important changes to our privacy practices, we will tell you clearly.
